Willem Dafel
It takes some all of their collective power and energy just to walk around the block, but for some sprinting around the block doesn’t even begin to get the blood pumping. This is especially true for Trink’s own Willem Dafel who took it upon himself to make his dream a reality by competing in this year’s Port Elizabeth IronMan which was held at Port Elizabeth’s beach front on 10 April 2016.
The IronMan Triathlon, which consists of a 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride and a 42.2km run, has seen many a person not being able to complete this grueling test of endurance, but Willem took up the challenge and finished the Ironman and did so wearing his custom Trink branded shirt.
“We are very proud of Willem and in his personal achievement. He represented Trink proudly and we look forward to his future IronMan endeavors in the future.” said Colin Smith, Managing Director of Trink Group (Pty) Ltd.
When asked how he felt about finishing the IronMan, Willem said: “I am so happy to have been able to finish and I can’t wait for next year’s one. I’m going to train harder so that I can better my current time.”
Well Done Willem for carrying Trink’s name with pride and leading the way.
